Glendale Attestation Services Explained: Reviews, Compilations, and More

Get In Touch

When your business, investors, or lenders request verified financial statements, basic bookkeeping reports may not be enough. That’s where Glendale attestation services come in — providing an independent, CPA-reviewed layer of confidence in your financial reporting.

Whether you’re applying for financing, meeting partnership requirements, or preparing for an audit, understanding the differences between compilations, reviews, and audits can help you choose the right level of financial assurance for your business.

What Are Attestation Services?

Attestation services are professional evaluations performed by licensed CPAs to verify the accuracy and reliability of financial information. In simple terms, a CPA “attests” that your financial statements are fairly presented and based on proper accounting standards.

At Concierge Consulting & Accounting, PLLC, our Glendale attestation services help local businesses, nonprofits, and professional practices meet lender, investor, and compliance requirements with accuracy and confidence.

There are three main levels of CPA attestation: compilation, review, and audit. Each provides a different degree of assurance.

Understanding the Three Levels of Glendale Attestation Services

Financial Statement Compilations

A compilation is the most basic level of attestation. Here, a CPA organizes your financial information into formal financial statements — without verifying or expressing any assurance about their accuracy.

Ideal for:

  • Small businesses seeking professionally prepared financial statements
  • Internal reporting or management use
  • Early-stage companies not yet subject to audit requirements

Key benefits:

  • Clean, organized presentation of financials
  • CPA-prepared reports suitable for lenders or investors
  • Quick turnaround and cost-effective

Financial Statement Reviews

A review provides limited assurance that your financial statements conform to accounting standards and are free from material misstatements. The CPA performs analytical procedures and inquiries but not a full audit.

Ideal for:

  • Companies seeking more credibility with lenders or investors
  • Businesses not required by law to have an audit
  • Organizations needing periodic financial validation

Key benefits:

  • Increased reliability compared to compilations
  • Fewer procedures and lower cost than a full audit
  • Helps identify potential errors or inconsistencies early

Reviews are a common choice for Glendale and Phoenix businesses that need CPA-level validation without the depth (or cost) of a full audit.

Financial Statement Audits

An audit provides the highest level of assurance and involves detailed testing, verification, and third-party confirmations. The CPA expresses an opinion on whether the financial statements are presented fairly in all material respects.

Ideal for:

  • Businesses required by investors, lenders, or regulators to have audited financials
  • Larger organizations or nonprofits managing significant funding
  • Companies preparing for mergers, acquisitions, or public filings

Key benefits:

  • Highest level of confidence in financial reporting
  • Strengthens credibility with external stakeholders
  • May reveal internal control or process improvements

While audits offer the greatest assurance, many growing businesses find that reviews or compilations deliver the right balance of compliance and efficiency.

When to Consider Glendale Attestation Services

If your organization is expanding, seeking financing, or facing new compliance standards, it may be time to engage a local CPA for attestation services in Glendale.

Common scenarios include:

  • Applying for business loans or credit lines
  • Meeting investor or partnership reporting requirements
  • Satisfying HOA, nonprofit, or grant compliance
  • Preparing for an external audit or acquisition
  • Strengthening internal financial controls

Even if your business isn’t legally required to have an audit, working with a CPA for periodic reviews or compilations builds trust with stakeholders and improves decision-making.
